These are challenging times and the Corona virus has thrown things out of gear. CVM has continued to keep the children active and engaged during the lockdown with the virtual classrooms, worksheets, online story books and fun riddles. Teachers have done a wonderful job keeping the kids' emotional health in place too. The kids are being educated on the pandemic with the amazing videos posted by them on the CVM Facebook page. Thanks once again to the parents, teachers and especially our Principal for being an amazing encouragement and support. I am happy to be part of the CVM family. Stay home. Stay safe.

The online classes, which began in March were planned effectively and the teachers were available for them at any time to answer their queries. Slip tests not only assessed their academic skills but tested their honesty. They were engaged in project work before the start of the online classes. I am Bhuvaneswari, grade 1 homeroom teacher. Initially I had difficulty doing the virtual classes but my colleagues helped me. I created placards with classroom rules to hold up. Children became more interactive. They shared their answers in the chat box. Some were given chances to speak. I prepared puppets to narrate the story. This helped them connect with me. They could do actions based on my instructions. I had presentations, videos and flash cards in my classes. I started my class with an energizer and ended with a riddle on the topic. I was worried if I could reach out to grade 1 online, but all the positive feedback has put my fears aside.
